Timna National Park: A High-Precision Digital Twin

The Context (Nature & Heritage)
Timna National Park: Digital Heritage & Nature Documentation
The 3D model of Solomon’s Pillars demonstrates the power of aerial photogrammetry in documenting complex geological structures and historic landmarks. Using high-resolution drone imagery, I’ve created a “Digital Twin” that captures every crack, texture, and contour of the rock face. This provides an invaluable resource for archaeologists, conservationists, and researchers who need to document heritage sites with uncompromising visual detail.

Professional Application (Climbing & Outdoors)
From Field to Screen: High-Res Solutions for the Outdoor Industry
For the climbing community and outdoor app developers, 3D rock face mapping opens new horizons for route planning (topos), topographical analysis, and virtual site exploration. As a photographer focused on spatial aesthetics, I prioritize texture quality and lighting, ensuring the model isn’t just a data file, but an immersive visual experience that allows for a deep understanding of the terrain.

Technical Scope & Integration
Versatile Data for Research and Media
The models are exportable to formats compatible with game engines (Unreal Engine), geological research software, and mobile applications. Whether it’s for mapping trails, documenting soil erosion, or creating digital assets for media and virtual tourism, the combination of professional drone capture and advanced processing delivers a precise and versatile digital asset.
